He Saw Me There I lay silent, cringing, in the bowels of despair He saw me crying, hurting, laying prostrate there; the mistakes I had made, the grief I had caused did not make Him linger, did not make Him pause. I had done so wrong, I could not live with myself but He carried all of my problems to a far-away shelf, said to me “My dear daughter, it is not yours to grieve, for all of your sins, it is in your love that I believe.” I could not face Him, my soul was dreadfully torn, weary was I of the world, exhausted and worn; but He would not let go, would not let me loose grasp, “You must continue on” was all that He did ask. It is said that He has his own plan for every creature that He knows each and every hair on one’s head, His miracles are never-ending and this I knew, and felt no dread. Time passed, days spent, the weariness left by His command, slowly I regained myself and not alone do I stand; for He is with me daily, as he has always been, I had been blinded by Satan’s world, and I knew it then. It is easy to give in, to follow all of the sins, It is harder to accept pure love, willingly given; and now I do not ask, but simply continue to pray that He would allow others to follow His way. I had lain silent, in the bowels of despair He had seen me crying, laying prostrate there; the mistakes that one makes, the grief that is caused does not make Him linger, does not make Him pause. WOW sunshine this is poweful inspiring stuff your imagery is so vivid...that first stanza WOW and the emotions.... all of it...very well written and expressed powerful stuff here, my dear (smile) take care, jm Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind...
