He Cries |

He cries Each time I walk the bitter halls, And find him held within those walls. His eyes gone dim still see my face, He knows my voice, and my embrace... He cries. ~ ~ ~ His strength I knew all of my living's years; In all that time he shed no tears. My father sturdy as a stone Has tender grown, has tender grown; Lost strength. ~ ~ ~ His time Kaleidoscoped into my hand; Weeks trickling slowly as the sand; Aware of all, remembering some; So precious have his days become ... His time ... ...Living is ever like crossing rivers; finding a new life on each shore ... RJG |

RJ' You know he was my best teacher in printshop back in school, your mother's my best english teacher and holds a candle next to none. You are my love and your emotions I feel so strong, But with "His" help we'll find what is needed to carry on. My All... |

Wow...cool and sad at the same time. I am always amazed when you can give a poem the qualities you wish to portray! Hope the dream. Wish the future. Live the now. |

This is wonderful and brought tears to my eyes (which is not a daily thing). It touched me in many ways. Most specifically because I wish I knew what it would be like, and how my life would have been different, if I had a Father anywhere close to this. You are blessed and wonderfully aware of it. It also touched me because of the memories I do have of watching my own Father fade away, never being able to make sense of the life he lived, never reconciling the pain he caused with the love I still had for him. Great work. |

I love this poem. I do not relish the day when my own father has to go through this. All I know is that I will be there for him dispite our past. Again, great poem. It has touched me. SD If dying is the process of living life to its end. Then what is living? |

Rosemary, this is a wonderful tribute to your father - It's not easy to watch our parents succumb to the tribulations of age - and yet we've no choice, do we? |

Rosemary, my friend- How tenderly you hold your father's love in the palm of your hand, folding it into your heart. My prayers are with you, dear friend. Love ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Rosemary Plain and simple might not says it all but this is brilliantly done The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |
