She walks into the room just her and her machine she turns the power on hoping for her dream. Loneliness that fills her she yearns for tender arms Someone to embrace her with eloquence and charm. Flirtatious words she types with caution and with care In hopes to find that special one, she wonders if he’s there . Words that dance across her screen awaiting that reply He answers with a big fat grin; you can almost hear her sigh. Their friendship grows through out the night as their words they fill the screen They share the stories of their lives their hopes their fears their dreams. Their loneliness has ended for both of them they know This story is not over for their friendship it will grow. -------------- You got to get up every morning with a smile on your face and show the world all the love in your heart Then people are gonna treat you better You're gonna find, yes you will That your beautiful as you feel.~~~ Carol King |

KitKat~ We have all shared a growing group of friendships through this marvelous medium of communication. I've met and cherish a diversified group of wonderful friendships that would not have been possible without it. We sure are fortunate. Wonderful poetic testament. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Kitkat, wonderful poem. . .it's too bad that sometimes in real life, our friends can't be like the ones that we find in places like this. . . jealousies can pop up. . .kind of sad isn't it? --------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

Although I've all but declared that romance online is not the way to go for me... I've had a few relationships spring from friends I've met through this box of wires. NEway... this poem describes the experience of finding them very well. I could almost feel my nerves tremble as I read the part about her waiting for a reply. There's nothing quite like the feeling you get when you put your heart on the (on)line that first time. You type out your feeling sand hope they feel the same... it's not like reality where their body language gives their answer away in the blink of an eye.... you have to sit and wait... and wait.. and wait... while they figure out the perfect words to reply with before you knwo itf the feeling is mutual or not. =) Great poem. "We always said it would be good to go away, someday, but if there's nothing there to make things change, if it's the same to you I'll just hang." --Matchbox20 (Hang) |

Thank-you all for your replies. Friendship is special. I have just started on line chat and have made a few friends all over the globe. Technology is amazing. Yes sven it is to bad friends get jealous over silly things. The common bond here is we all enjoy writing and sharing our thoughts. Thank-you all my friends. |

I can certainly relate to this. I have just arrived home from meeting, for the first time, a very special friend whom I met online. ~"This story is not over for their friendship it will grow"~ Is the story ever really over? Not all those who wander are lost. ~J.R.R. Tolkien |
