Well, clear off the table For I don't think I am able Put me on the table top With a leaden little plop The food was rich and sweet But I should've been more wise For on the third course of meat Is where I met my demise Well, I stopped when I knew That my face was turning blue But by then it was too late Face first I fell in my plate Rising from their plates Other diners checked my eyes But it was far too late For I had met my demise So bathe my cold, hard skin Shave the whiskers from my chin Dress me in my favorite kilt Place me in a box well built As the worms and beetles feed On my skin and on my eyes I truly hope that I will be Like me their own demise Alicat, the Persnikitty As I sit here dimly thinking Watching modem lights a-blinking Churning out poetic hash. Lord, in all Your piety, Help me keep my sanity: Please don't let the modem crash! --Alicat |

I think maybe I'll skip breakfast this morning. "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." -Charles Brugnot |
