The breath of Silver

The wind pentetrates my window, covering me with her icy breath,
making me yearn for the warmth and the comfort generated by another,
melting her chilly spell,
she gently whispers to the outside, conversing with my house,
and the rose bush protests,
etching it's thorns into the chalkboard of my exterior,
then urgently, wailing ominously for what she has lost,
filling the blackened hollows,
shaking whatever cares to listen to attention,
shattering glass, mimicking cow bells, and slowly coming to life as wind chimes,
scattering to spread the word of her anguish,
obliging sound for her tears.....

Excellent!!

I love the idea of the cold wind as a "breath of silver. . ."

Wonderful poem, my friend. . .

Denise... Thank you for you kind words.

James... How could you feel the cold, with those icy fingers embracing your body?
