In a dream I floated with you
in a journey all our own,
beneath coverlets of loving
where no thorn has ever grown.
~ ~ ~
‘Twas a boat of gentle rocking
on our nighttime’s calming sea;
and I was warm within your arms
as waves lapped tenderly.
~ ~ ~
No tomorrow lay before us,
and no yonder shadow cast;
as our world became our shelter,
and we were alone at last.
~ ~ ~
The winds were soft and quiet,
and the silver moon was bright
o'er that dream in which we floated
through a long and fragrant night.

Oh, so sweet and tender this is Rosemary.  I think that you and Lucky were on the same boat rocking night dream.  You write of love with love.

Hay Honey,

Did you by any chance remember to lock the door..? This is sounding like it could be a long voyage. Be a good girlscout and catch it for me and I ) be a good boyscout and get prepaired.

Changing in a swirling, tension—filled, beautiful, exciting way. Still changing, it’s like looking through a prism. Nothing is ever the same twice. I like watching God do His stuff. It started with some mystique Canadian cruise we’d been longing for for quite some time. Maybe I was just an observing tourist. Nobodi seems to know exactly where my thoughts were. My old friend who's come with me tells me, “it seems to start nowhere in particular.” However my emotions are pressing, crowding one another. Then suddenly, just off the twilight cruise and hitting the expressways, my Petula Clark downtown heart skies are hung in dazzling architectural jewels. God can sure make your shine happen.

Martie - You sweetie.  Yes, he and I do often take the same boat...

Marge - Cute!  Glad you could feel the motion.

Mike - I appreciate your catching my feelings.

Elizabeth - Yes, the love is what it's truly all about.  Thank you for seeing that.

lucky - you're entirely right - it's a voyage of great beauty, my love, and we will never have to near the shore.

Panthers  - thank you!

lucky - You bring back our sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties and now - all in a single comment!  Such a sweetheart!

Jeffrey Carter - thank you for hearing the music!  I appreciate that so much!

NamelessOne - I am very honored at your appreciation!  I don't think I've ever had a comment such as yours before.  Thank you so much.

Meadowmuse - I enjoyed the way you described the verse as flowing - going right along with the tide of the feeling!

SEA - thank you for feeling the gentleness.  In the long run, with all the beauties considered, I think the gentleness of loving means the most.
