 Never needed anyone the way that I need you From a very special encounter our cherished love grew You make my world a bright one and lift my spirits high And sometimes when I'm being a bitch I ask myself why Why does he put up with me, how does he love me so But still throughout everything, your love for me I know I can see it in your eyes and I hear it in your voice There's never been anyone who can make my heart rejoice We've been together for some years and still we remain in love And I thank my lucky stars when I search the sky above I thank my lucky stars for the love you give to me I thank them for that first embrace, that set my trapped soul free You unleashed my inner turmoil and gave my spirit a second chance To think it all started with that first dance You swept me off my feet and gave me something I'd never had before Love, understanding and happiness galore I never want this to end, I want it for all eternity Is that too much to ask, or am I being too greedy They say when you find your ~Soul Mate~ you will surely know I know I've found mine in you, as I watch our love continue to grow Keep all the windows of your mind open Anne Rooks |
