The magic little box

I sit and I wait
when will it come
The little message of fate

I see the small box
It's requests my acceptance
I can hardly contain myself

I know on the other end
waits what I need
what I crave
the cure to my bad day

The messages fly by
we speak of things unspeakable
I relax with a sigh
For she is what I need
my diamond in the rough

Oh So I wish I could be
be with her
holding her
loving her

To feel her hand resting in mine
feel the pain flow away
I know the time will come
but so far away is that day

I yearn for her
to sit with her
to sing with her
to kiss her

quickly I dial
fumble with the numbers
to hear her words
to hear her laugh
to hear her sing
I sign with releaf
my problems are solved

or so I think.

the dial tone sounds
I dread this moment
why does she have to go
I need to see her but I can't

Who am I fooling
How much longer can I last
have love dangled in front of your face
but it disappears so fast

This is the first poem I've ever really written.. I know it's not that great.. it's not every very poem like.. I"m only 14/male here and never really had a very good time writing them.. but when I fell in love that helped..   I've written a few more poems shortly after I might post..  I just wanted a little feedback is all.  I am very much in love with her.. we met on the internet about 2 and a half years ago.. and fell in love about a half a year ago.. I talk to her on the phone and I'm going to California to meet her in the summer

WELCOME TO PASSIONS!!
As far as "poem like" well I don't know about that....you wrote from your heart and that's where poetry comes from.  This is a very good start.  Good luck with your meeting and I wish you the very best!!

Very well done, young poet, for you write from your heart. There are other poets your age in teen forum and you will enjoy their works as they will yours. Keep writing! We'll look for more from you. WElcome!

Clayton,

Welcome to Passions. A good first posting.  The hardest part is working up the nerve to post that first poem.  Keep writing.
