SPRING AIR

The air in spring does so entice
Like blends of aromatic spice
It would suffice to say that mice
And birds live free in paradise

The scents of spring do so refresh
The lilac air and perfumed flesh
They mesh in all of April’s fresh
And breathe new life in every breath

I smell the swell of fresh and new
The nice of spice on morning dew
I sense the scents of lilac too
But twice as nice, the scents of you

This was so great!! You have a wonderful way with words and possess a gift of being able to give line after line of powerful imagery! Loved this!!

I would like to thank you all for your very kind responses. I didn't like this poem after I posted it, and so I was hoping it would drift away, but it kept coming back.
But I'm glad some of you liked it.
And I thank you for your comments. Much appreciated
Liz
PS And my children and I loved the smellivision remark

You are such an inspiration to me, the library is closed today, but not this one
