Jewel Keeper

Crystal prisms blinding
Reflecting a bull’s eye
Annular gems glinting
Together, surrounded by
Stately stone cyclopean

Hues of sardonyx, citrine
The polarizing symmetry
Fascinates Corinne
Study of spectrometry
Beveled edges, bottle green

Single steadfast shaft
Of bright lampbent light
Beacon to a pleasure craft
Sails of star-stone white
Oh, metaphorical life raft

Travelling in one direction
Piercing pearly clouds
To a point, golden section
Where darkness enshrouds
A watery faint reflection

Undulating, rolling tide
Jagged edges in hiding
Inundation, starboard side
Two entities colliding
Silence follows wild ride

Historical burial site
Craggy sapphire channel
Adrift this obsidian night
Prayers for survival
Preserved by prismatic light

Corinne,

Very nice.  You must have sailed on big boats. You sure capture the images well.

Corinne~
This is a most intriguing piece.
I can read your fascination.
Beautifully done imagery.

I start out looking at gemstones, and find myself on a cruise... Quite mesmerizing, I might say...

Thanks, Marge, Nan and Hoot.

This was a poetry challenge using the theme
"gemstones."

what a wonderful cycle, Corinne, from prism across a spectral sea and back on prismatic light.
