My LadyAnd it's far away from Friday in the nearness of her eyes Now she's laughing running dancing through the meadows Her memory's brought her back and for this day her sorrow dies as she flies again with songs of sonnet's sparrows And her feet are finding steps she thought they'd long ago forgot And her chest is filling deep with sea and clover And her dampened dress is flying, sheer white cotton for her wings and the fiddle, flute and whistle are her lovers And her suffering has no place beside the heathers and the sea so it stays behind and cannot call to claim her While my lady, free to frolic through her moorland memories lives and loves again where no one dares to tame her Claire |

Some of these writings I have a hard time following, such as this one. The parts that I do understand, I like. Im sorry,it`s not you,it`s just that I`ve never been much of a reader till passion. Thank you for sharing this Claire. < !signature--> Today is the first day of the rest of my life. [This message has been edited by Wizzard (edited 02-12-2000).] |

Oh Claire -- what a delightful picture you painted here! I am mesmerized! I would have to say that I would have preferred the dress to be gone (LOL -- but that's just me) but then you would have lost that lovely line about it being her wings ... never mind, leave it just as is, it's perfect! WOW! --Kess Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |

Ohh....so beautiful, Meadowmuse. I absolutely love this-- And her chest is filling deep with sea and clover And her dampened dress is flying, sheer white cotton for her wings and the fiddle, flute and whistle are her lovers I could almost feel the sea spray and hear the music...exquisite. *Krista Knutson* One lives in the hope of becoming a memory. ~*Antonio Porchia*~ |

This is lovely Claire. It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |

Reading this is like dancing through the meadow of your heart Wings of cotton yes she has What a nice picture you painted So light in dance and heavy on the heart Lovely, absolutly lovely ((((you)))) The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Claire- I felt your spirit running free. Capturing the moment of living again. This is a wisp of lovliness. You made me see the meadow and feel the ocean spray. Everything you write is good. This one just happens to be EXCEPTIONAL ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Wizzard...do not fret, for we all have our own different perceptions and inclinations. There have been works that I did not understand, as well. Many times I will reread them, hoping for some insight...sometimes I get it, sometimes I'm afraid, I do not. I thank you, sincerely, for your very honest comments! Your candor is wonderful. Kess...thank you, so pleased to have found your "WOW!" here. Alwye...Such a nice comment, I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and I thank you for letting me know. Tara...thank you for reading this and responding so kindly, happy to know you liked it. devina...my thanks for your comments, and so glad to share some peace with you. Helmut...so happy you enjoyed this, and thank you. ((((youtoo)))) Roniece...thank you! For reading, for responding, and for joining us here in Passions. Claire |

Ms.Poet deVine...Thank you! When I wrote this last night, I was hoping the imagery would work...thanks so much for letting me know it does. Marge...Yikes! Thank you for such a "demure" but "expressive" comment! {smiling} You certainly know how to deliver a message! I'm so glad to know your senses were touched by this piece...it is always my goal, when I write, to do just that. Thank you so much Marge. Claire |
