Diana

I had no time to wonder why,
No farewell kiss or last goodbye,
So hush my darlings do not cry
For now at last in peace I lie,
Our times together were so few,
Those happy days I spent with you,
I tried my best I hope you see,
So now my sons please pray for me,
To all the causes that I loved,
To those I met, To those I hugged,
To the poor, the sick, the dying,
I'll  be there when you are crying.
The work we started must continue,
Please carry on I am still with you,
When times are hard please say a prayer
Think of me I am still there,
I was no saint, nor sinner too,
I always was just one of you,
And life must carry on the same,
Until in Gods grace we meet again.

Farewell.

Yvonne

Your twenty one and like the rest,
Have taken wing and flown the nest,
May this year for you fulfilment bring,
In life, in love, in everything,
And when the year draws to a close,
May your life blossom like a rose,
Then let us hear and look upon,
A happy smiling sweet Yvonne.

Peggy

When Christmas came around this year,
New stars and angels did appear,
The stars lit up the sky so bright,
I met an Angel in the night,
She came to me all on her own,
And had no one to walk her home,
With hair of gold and eyes of blue,
That Christmas Angel it was you.

PMC~
Lovely, all.

'Think of me I am still there'

Thank you, I needed this line today.

Troy, Cerenity, Denise, hoot_owl_rn, and Marge,
Thank you for your encouragement.

"Diana" I wrote not because I was a big Diana fan, I think she tried her best under difficult circumstances and would be the first to admit that she was no saint.

The last two poems were only ever read by the people they were written for and I thought I would air them once before confining them to history.

What a treat! I loved all of these, but the first one was my favorite. Thank you for sharing them. May I print a copy?

Confining to history...?

Why ever would you want to do that?

There is some great work here - I really loved the last one.
