There Is a Voice There is a voice within the wind; It seems to call to me: "Come, leave behind your earthly cares, And set your spirit free!" Now, answering, my joyful heart Ascends above the world; And soars o'er lofty mountaintops, With golden wings unfurled. There is a voice, within the rain; It speaks to me of peace: "Surrender to my gentle touch, And soon your fears shall cease!" Caressing me, it fills my pores, Descending through my skin; And, as it soothes my weary soul, A rainbow forms, within. There is a voice, within the earth; It bids me, "Celebrate; For, spring is here, the world is green, And summer's at the gate!" My will renewed, my hope restored, My cares and worries, gone; With gratitude, I raise my voice, To join in nature's song. -Troy J. There is a voice in poetry That softly calls to me In spoken word and written lines There lays the world to see I answer with an open heart With rhythm and with rhyme That pour in verse upon the page To stand the test of time ....oh, sorry, was inspired here. Nice poem by the way  |
