We Dream a Dream......... We dream a dream together you and I From here on in may our love never die Our minds become like one with the earth Our bodies connect for all they are worth Between us ne're will there be any pain For we will be true and in trust we remain Forever a constant we deem to be true No longer a singular me and then you A couple completed for all the world to see In our own little world just you and me These days no longer will be dull and bare For now you will know I will always be there To weep when you weep and to ease your fears To smile when you smile and to wipe your tears To plan and to hope that our love will remain We have nothing to lose but so much to gain The future is strange no one can be sure What you and I were put here for But one thing I know and of this I am clear That fate has decided that this is our year We were part of a plan all mapped out in time From the beginning of life you were meant to be mine It took a few years but still it had to be We had to experience, life we had to see And though we didn't know it when we felt the blow The pain was a path we had to get to know For we now emerge both stronger and wise We've felt all the hurt and heard all the lies And this is where we can start love anew The next chapter of our life just me and you!! Sandra, this is a real nice poem. Very good rhyme throughout. It's a nice dream you dream, mapped out in time. Nice writing. A life isn't significant except for its impact on other lives. |
