She sits there And she's smiling And no one knows what she has locked inside her heart The breeze blows her hair away from her face And she laughs a tiny crystal laugh But no one can feel the pain that tears her to pieces inside The sun twinkles in her eyes And she joyously waves her hands when she talks Her voice chirping like the songs of sparrows But no one can see that she's crying They see her smile They hear her laugh They listen to her happy stories Of a life that has caused her so much pain No one notices her soul shriveling up And turning to dust No one notices her wasting away before their eyes No one notices she's dying |

wow, amazing work Flidais... too many people are in that situation, best thing to do is talk it out with a friend. Great work and welcome!! "So close, no matter how far, couldn't be much more from the heart, forever trusting who we are, and nothing else matters" -Metallica- |

this kind of reminds me of me. no one understands so i pretend everything is fine so i dont have to listen to them tell me how stupid i am or the things i do. Sometimes i wanna burst into tears and instead a pull out a little laugh...till im alone.my pen is my friend thats where i get all my feelings out and he doesnt tell me how wrong i am he just listens. oh and everyone here at passions always has something good to say that kinda helps |

Incredible peice. Makes me wonder how many people that I talk to in a day are wearing masks of emotion. Lucidity is the answer to all problems |

***Flidais, Wow. This really reminds me of myself. I wrote a poem along the same lines as this amazingly inciteful piece. It is caled "Actress". I'll have to dig it out for you. Anyway, Welcome to Passions. If the rest of your work is anything as good as this, I guarentee, I'll be reading. < !signature--> I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. Welcome to Passions! Your words are written with an acute sense of feeling and pain, showing the world one side and keeping the other locked up tight. I too have lived this and through poetry have begun to open the door now and then, the more I look into my soul the more I release and set free through poetry. I hope that you are able to find the same release and comfort. This was a sincere and heart felt piece. Thank you for sharing it. Whatever strength I add to myself becomes my greatest weakness, while whatever weakness I'll consciously endure will be replaced with a strength that is not my own. G. Finley |
