Waiting I’ll miss you while you are gone I am trying hard not to yawn It is getting very late It is your return I do await Sitting here on the couch all alone Oh how I wish they could have known How to do it themselves Now you won’t be home till after twelve So few hours until the morning I hope the get a warning For taking you away from me tonight This, my dear, is just not right There should be others who know what to do Why do they always count on you I wish it was so easy to blow them off It would be easier to get rid of a nagging cough It is your job, I should understand But once in a while they really need a good backhand I don’t mean to nag or be a bitch If they were to get it right that would be a switch So I guess I will wait for you to get in This is when our night will begin Maureen |

This is beautiful, Maureen. I could feel the longing in it. Elizabeth "He have his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him!" -The Crucible |

Maureen, I feel your frustration. Yes, it isn't fair. Yes, you should understand. Yes, there should at least be equal time for you. "They" owe you BIG TIME! This is from a person on the other side of your poem. I have been called away for WEEKS to fix problems. I didn't like being away from my family either! INclan |

I’m Sorry I know I’m called away often Paged whenever not there It should feel good to be so important But I’d give it all up to be here Sometimes I wish there were others Who would like to try being me On call every minute, regardless Tougher than it seems to be I’d love to take a vacation Leave that place behind Grab you and take off Time for us to unwind Until that day gets here I’m stuck doing everything Working with no brainers Making my pager sing Ken |

Amazing Maureen. I could also feel the longing in this poem. There should be others who know what to do Why do they always count on you Wonderful ~Jen |
