I have no tears left to cry,
for a love that's gone astray;
The wells within my soul have dried,
Self-pity has gone away.
It's time to live, and love again,
to open up my heart;
To let new love enter in,
a time for a new start.
No more wallowing in despair,
no wakeful nights to greet;
For someone waits for me out there,
another love I'll meet.
One whose heart is just like mine,
hoping to find true love;
A love to last for all time,
Blessed by God above.
To share the joys that life does hold,
let memories be born;
And cuddle with when nights are cold,
come chilly winter morn.
There's a freedom that I've found,
I've never felt before;
As weighted burdens leave me now,
it's gone forever more.
For, I have no more tears to cry,
for a love that's gone astray;
I've let it go, I bid good-bye,
The pain has gone away.

Doesn't the act of letting your felings spill out onto paper have an incredible cleansing effect? Your poem was lovely Jenna and I enjoyed reading it.

I love this poem.  Not too long ago I went through the same metamorphosis.  It is really a life changing experience.  Welcome to Passions, Jenna!  Hope to see more of your work.

Jenna,
Welcome to passions!!!  Great poem...very heart felt words.  We must first let go of the past to move on toward our future.  Excellent!!

Jenna,

Well I just hope that poetic river never runs dry. This is very very good. Many times I had wished to be able to pick myself up in such a way. I just want to say your a well......come sight. Nice flow...nice witness.
