~Seduction Of Words~ < !signature-->Bound by trust, Laced with lust, Intensity defined by intrigue. Longing veiled in verse, Passion's welcomed curse, Rapture adorned in rhyme. Depth of perception Fantasy's sweetest deception, Reverie embraces reality in reprieve. Seduction by prose, Gifted to compose, Inspiration's vows requited. Eyes of desire, Drawn to the fire, A slow burning sensual flame. Discoveries of mutual need, Hunger upon which to feed, Salvation found in sacrifice. Secrets protected and hidden, Tasting pleasures forbidden, Offerings consume and satisfy. Resistance in decline, Submission so divine, Abandon assures absolution. Temptation born of fascination, Captivation by poetic invitation, Surrender entwined in ecstasy. Janet Marie and you can say baby... baby can I hold you tonight maybe if told you the right words... at the right time, you'd be mine... baby can I hold you tonight... tracy chapman [This message has been edited by Janet Marie (edited 03-24-2000).] |

I love the three line rhyming structure..it gives great rhythm to the words and the way that each verse builds on the next..increasing like the fire image....until the surrender at the end. Tess "What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies." -Aristotle |

Janet, I was almost knocked over by this one. Such intensity fading to softness, then building in intensity to the crescendo --- you are remarkable! Terry A. Woodson, Jr. |

What I like about this poem is its duality. It could from you and about you, it could be about Passions, heck, or it could be both! Corinne |

Hope I'm not too late for the party SMILES! Janet, this was really great hon! I loved the rhyming scheme...different than most of your others. But it worked so well. I also loved the flow of it, and how each verse left u wanting more, and then u were so elequotently (sp) surprised by the next one! Congrats again my friend, u take my breath away!
