Heroes You bear the insolence of petty minds, And brave the searing, stinging, hate you face. Undaunted by malevolence defined, To form a perfect jewel of poise and grace. Encompassed midst a sea of selfishness, How quickly we succumb to vengeful thought. And yet throughout your life of vile duress, You’ve yielded not despite what pain is brought. So staunch and firm beside the roaring tide, No pity sought, no feeble victim’s stance, At every turn the urge to quit denied, And every life you’ve touched, enriched, enhanced. Most heroes live in mythic lands of yore, My sweet is mine, and must be evermore. |

What an entry, must be those hectic days and sleepless nights.. "And every life you’ve touched, enriched, enhanced." Hopefully, we all have done that, once the pain has worn off.. HUGS |

***David, This is one of the most touching poems I have ever had the amazing pleasure to read. I do not have access to the proper words that could do justice to this...suffice to say, you left me speechless. Welcome to Passions. I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |
