Mysteries On spider’s web a dewdrop’s glimmer Grabs a moment of my sight My eye then scrolls the web’s dimension Fills my pupils with delight A maze of wonder, gift of beauty A sunlit canopy of lace The silky web spun to perfection Of spider’s own inherent grace Who has taught her how to weave A veil to catch the morning dew? I would write poetic verses Of this mystery, if I knew Sounds of warbling still enchant me Mornings when the locust sings He gloriously comes out of hiding Scales the bark to spread his wings He knows the cycles of his time He knows the hour of his rebirth Buried years below the soil Appears on time upon the earth How does locust know the seasons Creeping out through morning dew? I would write poetic verses Of this mystery, if I knew You and I in love’s dimension Wonder at the joy we’ve won There is an exquisite moment When two souls become as one How do lovers know when love Has reaped the scent of morning mist? If I knew that splendid moment I would write a poem like this Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 03-23-2000).] |

You and I in love’s dimension Wonder at the joy we’ve won There is an exquisite moment When two souls become as one How do lovers know when love Has reaped the scent of morning mist? If I knew that splendid moment I would write a poem like this ------------ another lesson in perfection of poetry...taught by one who makes it look so easy...this was so enticing to read...the web images were so lovely and the emotions at the end of the poem were indeed, splendid. as always Liz, you show us how its done. take care, jm and you can say baby... baby can I hold you tonight maybe if told you the right words... at the right time, you'd be mine... baby can I hold you tonight... tracy chapman |
