Just a groovin' little line of bass, rushing wind through eaves and cracks... God's blowin' on the harp tonight (watch this train roll down the tracks...) Raphael picks out the lead, bending branches in the trees. Cymbals too, are keeping time on rusty old forgotten chime-- only sound I ever heard them make. It's pretty, when transformers blow-- sparks of blue and then green flare. A ritual of lighting lamps to meet the eyes of silent stare. Windows breathe at times like these-- glass bends in frames made loose. Sheets of rain--slanted--pounding-- cease suddenly, as if on cue. It comes in waves, labor pains, each contraction less forgiving... and always echo of the thought-- "what about The River?" In Mother Nature's blender, now, at Elements command-- when comes that THING (surprising me) that only Silence understands... --Unbolt the door so we'll feel more, (balmy-sweet tranquility...) for there within the eye of storm dances serenity. |

Sweet Serenity~ This is absolutely the best ! The storm moved lyrically through the entire piece. Held me spell-bound to the end and then back to read again. It was almost as though I could envision you singing and dancing through the storm. Image jumps off the page. Never too much ... it ran until the storm played out. Just wonderful, gal. Love ya' ~*Marge*~< !signature--> ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com [This message has been edited by Marge Tindal (edited 03-22-2000).] |

Janet Marie--Divine words from a dvine poet! I appreciate your understanding. devina--glad you enjoyed-love & peace to you. Marge--I feel like I've just been patted on the head. This comes from a tradition of "riding out the hurricane," here in Bayou country. (says a little some- thing about me- doncha think?) But more about that later! Right now I'm sending smiles and hugs across the miles to you! dsnyder-so glad I made ya look! Always my pleasure to hear from you! 'hoot'--thank you. Your warmth& kindness have not gone unnoticed.
