-This is a song I wrote for my band, so that is why there are repeated verses, they are the chorus. Familiar Face You say two minds Are always better than one But I say that one mind Has never done me any wrong How can I trust anybody That I don’t recognize Give me a choice to pick a face And I’ll always choose mine Turn around and go back To where you came from Should of known you were coming Never had a chance to run By now you should of seen the signs That were placed in front of you I don’t need anybody Except for myself Waking up alone is always blinding But waking up at all is always frightening There are many things I’d like to do If I only knew you But I don’t know how Maybe someday You could be A familiar face to me too I knew that you thought You were the only one But I hope now you’ve caught The idea I threw at you That my heart never will part For anyone else but me I know our times were always fun But you were never the only one And neither was she Waking up alone is always blinding But waking up at all is always frightening There are many things I’d like to do If I only knew you But I don’t know how Maybe someday You could be A familiar face to me too I hope someday You could be A familiar face to me too |

This is great! I think I'd like to see your band. If the lyrics are this good, the whole package must be brilliant! What is your band called? The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition. |
