I Am A Women At the moment of conception it was final I was to be female. I would be strong yet peaceable, I would have pride and yet still be humble. I would not faultier in the wisdom I had gained. and loyalty to righteousness would be ingrain into my soul. I would be caring, gentle and above all else have unwavering, and unconditional love for all of man kind. I am a woman and I am, strong for I have made it through many a trial with my head held high. I am a woman and I am, peaceable because I will not tolerate violence and promote peace above all else. I am a woman and I have pride, for I have fought for my freedom as a woman and I delight in the satisfaction, of my achievements as a woman. I am a woman and I am humble, for I recognize my faults and take responsibility for my actions. And to be chaste and modest in mind. I am a woman and I have wisdom, for I have judged all rightly and with soundness of mind to the best of my ability. And I have tried to learn from my mistakes. I am a woman and I have been loyal, and faithful to all persons, weather obligated or not. I will support and defend what is true. I am a woman and I am gentle and caring, for I have cared for those in need of a woman’s touch, and gentle to a mans heart I have been. I am a woman and I have given unconditionally my love to all those who passed through my life and ask only in return to be treated as an equal. Cerenity~ Wonderful poem. Wonderful format. Let me be FOREVER WOMAN ! Lots of wonderful lines in here. Virtues to be proud of ... wisdom, humbleness, strength, loving, caring, prideful, peacefulness, loyalty I AM WOMAN ! *Can't buy the accepting or expecting rejection part though. Nope, no way ! I AM WOMAN ... I do not accept rejection even though we may get it from time to time ... I will use my strength to fight rejection. Love ya' girl ... ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Hi Marge, In the last few lines when it says I shall continue to carry the weight of the world and except rejection I ment the weight of my world meaning family friends business ect. rejection from my children husband family, and that even though they do not like some dicisions I make in certain matters I feel I have delt fairly with them. Should I rewrite it???? Thank you, Cerenity |

In the sense that you have explained, Cerenity, no I don't feel you need to rewrite it. Some concepts (ie, rejection and the accepting of it) can have more than one meaning. I get where you are coming from with this. We can't force others to agree with us even though we know we are correct. Everyone has their own mind. This is a great poem, Cerenity. Denise |

Dear Cerenity, I admire the inner strength and virtues expressed through this poem. Nicely written. Poeminister "...no single sound too rude Upon thy slumber shall intrude, Our thoughts, our souls- O God above! In every deed shall mingle, love." --Edgar Allan Poe (from Serenade) |
