Today we will have a party for you
my sweet little muffin who's now turning two.
The cake and balloons will bring smiles your way,
but you can't comprehend half of the joy in my day.

You brighten the darkness in any rain shower.
Tender fingers of tickles charged with love's power.
From the day you were born until enternity's gate,
you've grown so strong not a second too late.

It's not in the manner you hug me and dance,
though those things are worth taking a chance.
It's not just the whispers "I love your so much"
yet,the new words you speak bring laughter and such.

It's something unknown that lives in my heart
for each of the children I've given a start.
It's seeing first-hand that you've never known hate,
and knowing your birthday is part of my fate.

And so happy birthday from all whom you know;
Your sure to bring giggles wherever you go.
From your sister and brother and Daddy and me
we all just can't wait till the time you turn three.
