She thought me quite witty And laughed at each ditty. She knew I was not one to bore So how did I come To be such a bum Just because I'm not hers any more? Her face beamed with pride As she walked by my side. She loved all the clothes that I wore So what little quirk Has made me a jerk Just because I'm not hers any more? She thought me quite handsome, A Tom Cruise and then some, Pure joy for her eyes to explore But now she says smugly I'm really quite ugly Because I'm not hers any more. So what silly reason Has made me displeasin'? The thought to my mind that occurs Is that I wasn't good Because I was good But because I was good - and was hers! And, now that I'm not, I have just gone to pot Quite unfit to be one to adore. Good Sir Galahad Has really turned bad Because I'm not hers any more. |

Funny how that goes, isn't it? One day you're the king of the castle, the next a pauper.....only in someone elses eyes though! So it was never reality anyway! Excellent writing, as usual! |
