I could break you with just one glance, Perhaps I should- given the chance... Inflict all the pain you've given me, I'll make you love, make you believe, Only to find that you were deceived. Take your trusting heart in my hands, Fill your soul with selfish demands, Say things that you'll never understand, Then crush you as only I can. Drain you soul with bitter lies, Until your pain you can't disguise, Then leave you on your own to cry. Or maybe I'll just go on with my life, Cut down your ego(sharper than a knife) Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

The later would be my choise If i had a say But I'm sure everyone has they own way Your poem nice it's done I can surely say that I don't want to be the one In neither case The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Devina this poem has such a beauiful flow. I liked the line "crush you as only I can" and then you said "or maybe I'll just go on with my life." very nice. James |

Devina, I really enjoyed this piece, especially the last two lines. What comes from the heart goes to the heart. Samuel Coleridge |

Wow, just the kind of uplifting poem I needed to hear right now....LOL Just kidding, Devina. This was very "sharp" to say the least - the last couple of lines really pack a punch. Michael |
