                  Friends

It’s funny how one conversation
Initiated the development of a friendship

How one outing on the town
Turned into many special occasions

How common interest
Brought us to be roommates

How our own personal secrets
Became more like the Daily News

How our differences
Made us become even closer

How our views on life
Are virtually the same

How even though we argued plenty
We still have managed to remain the best of friends

Having good times and working out the bad times
Are what make friendships last
If you have never experienced either of these times
Then, how do you know if your friendship is true?

Good message in this piece.  Many friendships don't last because they don't pass the test of time and challenge.  Those that do are the best ones to have.
Enjoyed this piece.

Thanks for the message Danny!, I am glad that you appreciated it. My best friend for nearly seven years has inspired me to write this piece.

True friendships are hard to find and should be cherished, they will indeed stand the test of time. I smile to think you have such a friendship.
