Sitting here all alone On this cold Winter night I'm wishing I could hear you once again I'm wishing you could hold me tight I want you to come back to me Why do we have to be apart I'm missing you endlessly Because I loved you with every beat of my heart Oh how I despise that awful day When you had to go away I though you and I would always last But you slipped out of my life so fast Why did you have to go Why couldn't you just stay Here inside my arms Always Why did you go away I'd bring you back if I could And if only I could trade I would Sitting here all alone On this awful summer's day The sun doesn't shine in my world anymore Since you went away I'm trying to pick up all the pieces Because you once made me feel whole But now without you in my life I feel like I'm losing control Oh how I despise that awful day Because I'll never be able to hear you say That I'm the one that your heart beats for Because I know that it's silent forever more |

***Angel, I feel so bad for you. I have never experienced this kind of loss before and I am unsure of what to say... I'm glad you are at least trying now to pick up the pieces of your life again.... This is a beautiful poem and I'm sure your loved one is smiling down on you. ![]() I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |

This is such a touching poem. It seems so horribly ironic really, how something so wonderful came from something so tragic. I hope everything goes alright for you and we get to see some more of your fantastic work soon. The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition. |

Wow - how awful for you...many hugs. You have written a loving poem full of plaintive loss - and it is well written, angel. Please know that you are safe here to express your sorrow. 'Writing sharpens life; life enriches writing' Sylvia Plath |

This poem just made me feel so sad. There's no other way to say how I felt. Reading this theme in a poem just about breaks my heart. Elizabeth "He have his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him!" -The Crucible |

One of those few poems that really touched my heart! I realize this hurts like hell, but I hope things get better for you. This work was so beautifully expressive. take care, amy ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |
