Corruption -from 1993 Every time I get some where It turns around Dissolves in space It blows right back Into my face It stings my eyes And causes hate The hate then stings My soul down deep And causes Strange convulsions seep Into my mind Into my brain Until I can No longer reign Above my heart Above my cries Above my mighty wall There lies A hammer Smashing Crashing down To crack My precious Wall surrounds My soul's Entire sobbing core My fear My love My evermore. |

I like how this "fell down the page"....it gave an extra punch to the emotions that were banging loud as I read it. Very intense, and a good read! |

The flow of this poem is wonderful. Is this corruption some sort of temptation? I really enjoyed "Every time I get somewhere...it turns around dissolves in space...It blows right back into my face...it stings my eyes and causes hate. James |

Thank you both James,... Well... I wrote this poem in late 1993, at the beginning of my freshman year in highschool... there was a lot going on in my life then and the "corruption" that I spoke of was more the way that my life seemed to be "snow-balling", if that makes any sense. This was a peak year in a lot of difficulty going on within my family and a peak in terms of how I dealt with those difficulties. It would take far too long to explain here, ... but thank you for asking and I'm glad you both enjoyed my poem. love, molly aka sam "One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time." -Andre Gide |
