PONDERING Wonder can she see through my pain The tender side of me. Forever bourne, my ball and chain Beneath Love's fallacy. The need to hold her if one night, Knowing the love is true. To meet her soul in timeless flight That never bids adieu. Wonder can she see through my fear Courage shielded within. A dream so clear if through a tear I hold through thick and thin. By calloused heart, by wounded soul, The man I am to be; If alone, or if by her made whole, In reach of Destiny. Wonder can she see through my haste The patience I impart. To wait on love so finely laced, Embraced about my heart. As I stand ever in her awe, While time passes on by... To hold love perhaps without flaw, One day before I die. For I know only with patience Will trust ‘er hold us true. Or by courage will we dispense The past to love anew. Yet I can't help this longing to Hold her now! - tenderly. Wonder if somehow she's feels it too, That this was meant to be. Michael Anderson For all behind was dark and drear, And all before was night and fear. How many hours of night or day In those suspended pangs I lay, I could not tell; I scarcely knew If this were human breath I drew. Lord Byron |

Wonderful work again Michael. Impatience is the route to disaster when it comes to a broken heart. You have wise words here even when the want to hold is so intense. Enjoyed this much. |

Michael~ How gently you tiptoe through your want and need ... 'Yet I can't help this longing to Hold her now! - tenderly.' Beautiful. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Michael~ man you stir up my heart! Destiny is a funny thing, just when you feel like there is no"true love" for you, up pops the love of your life, wondering what took you so long! I am horribly impatient so telling you to be patient is out of the question.I have been there and I'm wishing her to you, fast! -SEA |

I say from the warmest part of my heart, please take things slow with this lady. You know what can happen when things go too fast. I know you and I have both learned a painful lesson. One that neither of us wish to go through again. We both knew we should go slow, and we didn't. Now we've fallen, and can't undo the past. It's okay to fall if you learn something from it I believe. Please take some time to heal, so that you can give a new relationship your all. It won't be fair to her otherwise. I do wish you the best, even after all that's happened. You deserve to be happy, and I know there's someone out there who can do just that for you! Don't get in a hurry...get to KNOW her. I hope you don't mind me commenting...this was a beautiful poem, as always. Your pen ISN'T broken! Whew! |

I can say that trust has been our key. Yes, I do feel the same indeed. The hurt from before was because there was no love there to indore. Love does not hurt and it is the most precious gift. GOD says so!! So, move on and love every minuite of it. Sometimes one shouldn't look back. The devil wants to seek our weaknesses and tear us down. Don't let that happen to you. Love, ME |

You know, the beauty of this poem speaks for itself. What struck me most, though, and please forgive me for this observation, is the repeating of, "Wonder can she..." It brought to my mind the heart and innocence of a small, vulnerable boy inside the man who writes these words, and throughout the reading, I found myself wondering, "How can she not?" This is that pure form of poetry...the kind that makes your breath still and your eyes brim to overflowing. ~ Claire |

A dream so clear if through a tear I hold through thick and thin. By calloused heart, by wounded soul, **The man I am to be; If alone, or if by her made whole, In reach of Destiny.** -------- As I stand ever in her awe, While time passes on by... **To hold love perhaps without flaw, One day before I die.** ------- Wonder if somehow she's feels it too, That this was meant to be. -------- Unconditional love and acceptance... these gifts you will receive, Love will find its way to you... if only you will just believe. jm beautiful poem M, your tenderness and gentle ways shine thru in the emotions. take care, janet marie you're really alone at last... you're bored and fading fast, if it's true you'll fall from the past all you'll have to do is ask you'll feel but never be you want and always need price you pay for wanting to see will you have all you've ever dreamed... robin wilson |

Marilyn, impatience is the route to disaster...don't have to say that twice. Marge, if I've learned anything at all - "fools rush in" I will probably be tiptoing the rest of my life...LOL PdV - quite a compliment...TY much. SEA, thank you so much but really, there is no hurry for me....I think I need much healing before I could be good for anybody at this juncture. Gen, "ISN'T" it though? Corrinne, some wise person once said "He who stands strongest - stands alone." ( to Gen). I don't think they called him wise for nothing. Compgirl, Love is God's gift. One must accept it from Him first if he is to ever fully understand it. Only when he fully understands it, will it ever be his to truly give it. I must work on my walk with Christ before I will ever utter that word again. A Romantic Heart - well I haven't seen a Sunny Day for almost a month now, literally. But the stars were shining tonight, I am ever in anticipation of a warm tomorrow. Claire, the repeated "wonder" was very much intentional. It is meant to reveal the very much unspoken longing to be everything Love perhaps accounts for - behind the vulnerability you speak of. You have left me breathless and teary eyed many times...glad I could return you the favor on this one. Janet, as I stated earlier, I will allow God to grant me love in His timing. He is the only avenue where I will persue it at this time. devina - pondering profusely would better describe it me thinks...LOL The answer will come with time, of that I am sure. Thank you all for the replies, Michael [This message has been edited by Michael (edited 03-10-2000).] |

Michael - we all honestly ask these questions because we all have self doubt. I think this a great piece of work, very searching, and I hope you're doing ok. Hugs K 'Writing sharpens life; life enriches writing' Sylvia Plath |
