O' Maiden fair, wilst thou come sail with me, On sailing ship, upon a satin sea, Upon ship's deck, gaze on the stars above, As in thine arms, I whisper odes of love? Thy tender touch, doth bring sweet joy to me, For in thy warm embrace, with goddess be, With thee shall dance the dance of Terpsichore, Beneath Orion's belt; to thee I do implore, To leave me not, to love me evermore, As joined as one, we sail to passion's shore, Doth not thee feel, love's touch upon mine soul, That thee doth pen; in lover's ink inscroll? O' Maiden fair, wilst thou come sail with me, Beyond the stars, beyond eternity? |

Impossible, a faire maiden to decline An appeal, such as this, most devine. ...words of beauty and inspiration. I love the lightness of this poem, Mike. ~ Claire |

Geesh....at this rate, Mr. Mike, you're gonna have so many maidens jumping onboard, methinks you will surely flounder! ROFL (jumping onboard myself! ) LOL On a serious note, I am indeed a sucker for this type or "style" and tone...this was fabulous. Not to mention I love sailing more than life itself, and the sea.....I won't say anymore, for I don't want you to be afraid of me! hehe (batting eyes) You sure know how to get the maidens' attention sir! |

Oh gentle knight let's sail upon the sea As waves and gulls both whisper out to me Let's drift amoung the dolphins and the whales Both riding high on love and ocean's swells Exploring unknown shores from near to far And navigating by a distant star Let's land upon the windswept, sandy shore Where love belongs to us forever more I will be all you wish for me to be Oh gentle night, please sail the sea with me Nice poem Mike |

See? I told you so! Look at what you've evoked from poor helpless Ruth! She can't contain herself now! LOL Wow, what an addition Ruth! You go girl! hehe She jumped on the boat so fast, she nearly knocked me in the water! Gads! (all dripping wet I am) |

I will sail with thee, Across the rageing sea, To hold thy heart, Underneath thee heavens above, Stars so bright, As bright as thy love, Whisper thy words, Sweetly into thy ear, How lovely they are, Sweet odes of love I do hear, With thy gentle hands, Caress thy fair maidens face, Pull thee tightly into thy embrace, Do touch thy Fair maidens face, I feel thy touch upon thy soul, Thy love beckons me against thy control, Unto our journey across the seas, Thy heart is forever sailing, Into thy love of eternity, Where we shall dance loves dance evermore, Upon the tides of passions shores, Oh yes dear prince, I will sail with thee, Beyond the stars, beyond eternity, "Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds, Or bends with the remover to remove. O,no! it is an ever-fixed mark....William Shakespeare |

To fair Maidens of the Passion's sea, How thee have warmed the soul of me, Ruth and Romantic Heart I say to thou, Thy beauteous words are kiss upon mine brow, Ruth, Sea, Martie, Femme, and Meadowmuse, To thy thoughts mine heart I lose. Denise, to one of the most romantic poetesses in Passions, thank you. And thanks to you also Scorpion. [This message has been edited by Mike (edited 03-09-2000).] |

A wonderfully romantic style Mike. Are we all planning a sailing trip now cause I'd like to come along...or is this a private affair for a knight and a fair maiden? James |

"As joined as one, we sail to passion's shore" As one??? After the list of maidens you just presented, I think I shall have to wait for the next ship to sail, Captain Mike. Perhaps by then, and if it is just the two of us, you will be able to remember my name... *smiling* ~ MEADOWmuse ('member?) |

There are no words good enough that i can muster about this poem. I like seeing such classical poetry still being done today. You've got much talent. |

Dear Mr. Mike, if it were not for my true love, my Crayon King, I'd be surely swept of my feet with your beautifully crafted work of art. Thank goodness they are already jumping all over you . No need to blush Sir, red is my colour. Please Sir, what type of sonnet is this ?
