"The part of me that's you".....what a line. Very nice way of ending this pain...I can relate. I can only say that you have to take that part, and create something new and alive from it. Something different, that doesn't hurt. One has to find his/her own happiness, and it's easier to find it in within yourself instead of others. Really nice poem! |

Nice writing. Its easier to let go when you do it both for yourself and for the other. If I am ready to move on I don't need someone pulling on my arm or wrapping themselves around my legs..and get those claws out of me...I must move on..and I will. You must let go and you shall. Sad but true. Oh, but the forgetting...a very slow process..but it does have a beginning and an end...or if you like a strong period and a time when the feeling or pain will diminish. James |

Thank you all so much for your responses they mean a lot to me. I would like to say that the process of letting go and forgetting is a difficult one...but I made it through....you see, this poem was written some time ago and once I realized that what I was holding on too wasn't a good thing it was much easier to let go of. I'll never forget completely but I did let go and manage to find something much much better.....MYSELF!!!
