I Slept with You last Night It was quiet when we talked, alone. You and me in the evening glow I could even see a smile, In the luminescent light I really wanted to hold you But knew I could not, at least yet And your lips danced in my mind With every word, that you said You told of dreams and loss All those changes in your life And really, I listened very hard But all I could think of was a kiss You laughed at my simple jokes So sweet to humor me so And my heart would ache With every one of your smiles I touched your lips with my mind So soft and warm, as I thought I wanted more with every touch But was afraid that you would run When we lay down to sleep I just held you in my arms, kissed your shoulder and your neck and saw our future in my dreams. Absolutely, positutely beautiful. Most women's desire, to be held in the arms of a man without complications, to sit and talk without worries. You have stated everything so perfectly. Ah, I miss those days... Don't care what people say Just follow your own way Don't give up and use the chance To return to innocence. -Enigma |

Oh Parker...I got to second Marge on this on. Heck with the stuff in the adult section, give me this anyday to get me heated up...lol. I've yet to decide whether I'm a hopeless romantic or just plain hopeless. Lovely poem here, got this girl sighing ![]() |

This poem would be a ladies dream come true. Something about the line, "I touched your lips with my mind" really got me, it sounded so beautiful, what a talent you have. I think it fair to say we all would love more. |

I like the way you wrote this totally without gender... gave it a more universal appeal... great! |

What a poet you are, Parker! Sung with an Irish lilt: Oh sail with me to County Cork, on a maiden voyage of gentle seas and run thru the mire and the mists, on a lover's mystical journey. Cor |

Marina, thank you again. Nurse Crachet, I will do my best to comply. Michael, I would love to say that that's 100 percent true. I keep a positive attitude toward the posibility. Only the future knows for sure, but I do believe that I am the crafter of my own destiny. Thanks for your kind words. Rebel, Oh, there was lots of gender involved, but I can see your point, from the readers perspective. Thanks Butterflies_dont_cry, thank you for reading. Corinne, You do the singing, and I'll buy the tickets. Have you sung many celtic songs? Celtic music is very popular up here these days. Its so alive. There was a musical up here called River Dance, that I missed. Just, waiting for it to come back. I'm sure it was Celtic. Thanks for your sweet reply. Parker |

The title caught my eye, and the poem caught my heart, very classy and romantic. I love the detail and the way you express yourself. Very open and real! ![]() "Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds, Or bends with the remover to remove. O,no! it is an ever-fixed mark....William Shakespeare |
