Difference Alluring in her scalloped neck lacy black dress she strides into the smoke filled room concentrating on her every step, as her spike heeled sandals a challenge alone. She felt a bit uncomfortable as she entered not often she dressed alluring as tonight. Feeling a need to be noticed with desire she found an empty bar stool to sit, now she tried to avoid the stares coming at her like wild fire. She pondered what the difference could be still the same desirable person inside just a different costume displayed is that what makes a difference? She strolls away shoes off back to her comfort zone. [This message has been edited by Nurse Crachet (edited 03-05-2000).] |

Unfortunately, the costume is the first thing that is noticed. Yes, I'm afraid it does make a difference, but when the costume comes off, the person inside is there to be found and is what really matters and what ultimately lasts. Nice poem. |

Excellent poem, unfortunately our society does judge a book by its cover! Thanks for your poem, it is reality in its fullest! busylisa |

I believe the right person will see anothers essense or beauty no matter what the dress might be. A sexy dress and heels or jeans and a sweatshirt. Very nice writing. James |
