The Dive The water so enticing a dive not far behind in thought, I can see my unrestricted body gliding through the air missing each jagged protruding rock by only inches. The dive releasing all my fears, as freedom designates the ultimate experience of this plunging journey. The water seems miles from my existing self as the forces of gravity begin their effect on me. Now the thought of icicles rage through my mind since it's winter and Antarctica is mighty frigid. Can I change my mind now, can I flap my wings and do a reverse dive? Guess not, so I'm in for the cold haul icicle death, where each part of me freezes on immediate contact. When I'm found I'll be preserved ready to start anew. |

Hmmm...plunging into the icy waters of Antartica...sort of like getting married huh? Can we emerge intact? Thawed out and ready to go? (just my take on this..I know it's not about this subject!) Excellent poem...I like the form too. |

I thank all of you for reading and enjoying, this was one of those poems you start and somehow they form a life all their own, and take off where they want to go. |

Burr.......makes me shiver here. I know what you mean by those poems that take on a life of their own though |
