Wrong Number ... Right Guy ? ~*Marge Tindal*~ Three rings. I answered, "Hello." You said, "Sheila?" I said, "No." Something disappointed in your voice. I said, "Can I help you." You said, "Do I have a choice?" I replied, "You always have a choice." You said, "I'd rather talk to you instead." Then you laughed and I laughed too. We agreed it was a silly thing to do. For a minute or two we enjoyed a polite exchange. Then you said, " I don't even know your name." I didn't tell you. I don't know why. Then you were gone. Wrong number. Right guy ? ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Thank you, Denise. I was reminded of the incident after reading Elizabeth's poem 'Sitting By The Telephone.' It's the way it really happened that makes it so precious in my memories. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

The very same occcured one day The phone rang in the usual way But there was nothing ordinary About this voice that made me tarry Obviously no one I knew But we really hit it off, we two And so I used my sexiest tones To match his soft and velvet drones But then I realized he was not A man, but just a phone robot Oh, well, maybe next time Loved this Liz |

well done Marge ... my wife makes a lot of phone calls ( yah yah )... aside from the tons of 'kiss offs' she contacts a lot of seniors that are just dying to talk to anyone and a lot of small children that are home alone and not well versed in hiding that fact Rex}<{{{{o> |

Marge, I'm surprised you did not recognize my voice. You know I am such an admirer of yours that I could not resist calling and expressing my desires for you. Then, as I heard you voice...I melted...and now have your sweet voice to remember each time I read your poetry. Your voiceless admirer. |
