Dark Clouds I’ve witnessed many clouds before That filtered out my light But never have I seen one That would reap the black of night For there are valid storms in life That are a vital need To nurture well the spirit And give rising to the seed And I have been in wicked rains That turned to pelting hail And shook the earth to tremors From the wild and blowing gale I have no fear of thunderous storms Dark clouds that come and go For I can well defend myself With tactics that I know But there is an impending storm With black and ghostly haze That threatens to eclipse the sun And darken all my days It is a voodoo shroud of black A dark and hovering curse And never have I seen such cloud Or known of any worse And so I pray to God above To give me strength of will To weather this insidious storm And fight off all the ill If I can somehow make this Blackening mist to go away I swear I will be thankful then For every rainy day I’ll dance with glee upon the wet I’ll play a jester’s role And look upon each tempest As a blessing to my soul Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 03-02-2000).] |

Elizabeth, dear friend~ When threatening storms should come your way an umbrella of prayer I send. That shelters you safe and dry until the sun shines again. Love you ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

To prance in dance, and from joy to fly when the darkest cloud of doom comes by is a tale that a soul in fright might buy And a lie for the self to relieve with a lie But to sob and cry with eyes not dry at the tidings riding clouds in the sky are tears to rain from clouds that cry in tests that attest for your soul up high * For black clouds dark, and white ones white Ones press shadow, and the others pass light Confusing the eyes is unwise, not quite bright But more you do err judging Wrong and Right Yes, bad is bad and good is good but that is often ill understood as good to be had and to the bad to be rude Where you cannot do without either in your neighborhood I pray for you Captain |

Michael, Glad you liked this. Thanks Marge, I know you're always there. Thank you Aimster, Your compliments are very kind and are appreciated. Thanks Wave. Thank you for taking the time to respond in poetry, as you did on the goose. poem. I'm not sure I understand all of it. The dark clouds are come into my life at times and create a lot of anxiety, and now they're back. I used the words voodoo and curse only to exagerate, not to express evil. Thanks fpr your remarks Bobby cat, Thank you Martie, Maybe you should come here to dance. I don't have much luck getting to California. Thanks Liz |

Such wonderfully descriptive work Liz. Some storms threaten to drown one's soul, and this is an excellent expression of that feeling. Take good care. ~ Claire |
