This was written in anticipation of the renewed war between balladeer, Toerag, and LongJohn, which apparently didnt happen. It still might, but it doesnt seem likely to me at this time. In light of that, I decided I might as well post it now instead of waiting for something that may not even happen. Bullets are flying, woven of poetic grace Why did I wander into this place? The urge to fight is stronger than the urge to flee Can I withstand the assault and achieve victory? Nay, I think not, for my skill is lackluster I have not the vivid vocabulary to muster So I shall sit and watch the warfare Hoping the participants have not a care Lobbing a verbal hand grenade And avoiding poetic mines the other laid Hoping that arsenal is stocked so high So victory may be won quite nigh |
