Kaleidoscope

The crystal shards left lying
Scattered on the floor
Reflect a kaleidoscope of colors
More beautiful than before.

Only when it’s broken
Do the lights dance across the glass
The future’s shining, sparkling
Let go of the past.

Weep not for the crystal
Although broken, it has grown
From a symbol of holding it together
To someone shining on her own.

at the pieces of me
that tumble out
scattered bits,
posted through need
and see the me,
the whole, happy me,
that I
want to be...
now that my friend
is amazing to me...
thank you so much
for your kindness
and for painting your
talent on the
crystal that is me
