In The Midst Of Our Storm Outside the storm is churning As the cool winds blow Inside the fire’s burning Here in the candle’s glow Lay me down beside you Touch upon my skin Passion sparks inside you And warms you from within Let the lightning flash its light Outside the thunder roars We’ll make storms of our own tonight Here behind closed doors Take me to the height of love Take the words I speak While thunder crashes from above Take me to the peak Whisper words upon my ear As now the hard rains fall Quiet me and hush my fears By giving me your all Let the lightning flash its light Outside the thunder roars We’ll make storms of our own tonight Here behind closed doors Caught up in the fury The clouds are moving fast We’re not in any hurry Hoping that this storm will last Sheltered in your caring arms Protected from the storm Captivated in your charms I’m safe and oh so warm Let the lightning flash its light Outside the thunder roars We’ll make storms of our own tonight Here behind closed doors < !signature--> Have you ever noticed That the words... "Goodbye" "I'm sorry" "I love you" Are so easy to pronounce ...Yet so hard to say ~Javan [This message has been edited by hoot_owl_rn (edited 02-29-2000).] |

Ruth, this is wonderful. I loved the repetition of the lines... We’ll make storms of our own tonight Here behind closed doors Very deliciously passionate, dear poet. |

Hoot Owl, a lyrical song of pleasure and passion, of which thunderstorms can accentuate so well. Beautiful work. ~ Claire |

Hoot~ This is so softly, seductive. You've captured a special moment. Almost a whisper in the storm, and yet the thunder roars ! Stormy night ... oh, stormy night. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Where cold winds blow and rain drop fall There can be a blanket the greatest gift of all Enchanting and so soooft Beautiful the poem you did Ruth Hugs and Love The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |
