Hush now, you talk too much. Listen to the mockingbird's tongue as she serenades the evening's sun. It is an half past midnight and slumber evades your brain While inner demons label you insane Hush now, Speak not another phrase. The mockingbird has something to say beneath the luminous Milky Way. It is an hour past midnight and lost slumber racks your brain While society seems to you inane. Hush now, Can you possibly be still? Enjoy in the mockingbird's song that urges the heavens along. It is two hours past midnight and slumber refuses you While tortured thoughts seem eternally with you. Hush now, Sleep my friend. Let the mockingbird's praises become your dream herald. Time is no longer important and slumber invades your spirit While inner peace cheats ephemeral days. |
