The soft sigh of morning brushes through the newborn foliage, stirring the azure morning mist with soft hands that twirl about, catching the tips of flowering buds rising from the ground As dawn aproaches with careful tread the floors of nature flow with movement the darkness recedes to the shallows and niches, taking with it the cooling dew and stillness of the night Flitting moths find their daytime bosoms in the bark of ageless graying oaks while the sound of jabbering loons echo across the lake, falling against immobile rocks lining the lapping shore All is never still, even in the brief silences of spring breezes that sweep the sounds from my ears, but then return again in whispers of melodies that to most always remain unheard Absolute peace and tranquility passes through all my senses, as I gather the strands and threads from the gifts that this morning freely gives to those who have the patience to listen A real man kisses his children goodnight |

What a great poem, you painted a picture with your words. Can't wait for the snow to melt and the earth to come to life again. Thanks for sharing it. |
