When was the last time....... |

When was the last time you made love to me That there were just the two of us, not three? When was the last time I felt your warm caress And just the touch of you left me all a mess? When was the last time you lovingly said my name You said it with pride, not spoken with shame? When was the last time you looked me in the eye Made me laugh with joy, not stand there and cry? When was the last time that you had time for me Not making up excuses you had someone else to see? When was the last time I felt comfortable in our home When we were together, I wasn't spending time alone? When was the last time our love meant something to you I knew you'd be there no matter what we went through? When was the last time you desired my touch and kiss? I can't remember the last time; those times do not exist. |

And if this is reflective of YOUR life, you are leaving when? I hope you find the happiness you deserve. Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Very sad. I agree that is this about you, the time has come to leave. Sometimes that is the only thing to do, sad but ture. And there is life on the other side, yes there is. Denise And slight is the sting of his trouble Whose winnings are less than his worth; For he who is honest is noble, Whatever his fortunes or birth.~~~Alice Cary, ~Nobility~ |

I promise all you wonderful people that this is NOT going on in my life or our house! I found Mr. Right in '97 & it's only getting better! |

Well, that's a relief! Glad this is not about you! Denise And slight is the sting of his trouble Whose winnings are less than his worth; For he who is honest is noble, Whatever his fortunes or birth.~~~Alice Cary, ~Nobility~ |

So very sad and touching, would be terrible to feel this way. I'm glad also that it is not about you. I hope it is not anyone you know either! |

Hi Deb, Oh! This is sad and did seem so true. My eyes got wider as I read this from beginning to end, and your final line let this resound after the poem. Rus |

This one was very poignant indeed...glad to know it wasn't personally about you (was about to give you the "get up and go" speech!) Great poem! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |
