Control

Empty abyss swallowed my soul,
that was the day I lost all control.
You walked in my life so cocky,
I didn't know the road ahead was rocky.
Given a choice I'd not choose another,
even if I had to put up with your brother.
He kept secrets that tore us apart,
I knew I loved you from the start.
I didn't foresee where we would go,
we had such a long row to ho.
To walk along the path with you,
that is all that I wanted to do.
You were my heaven on earth,
your love was like my second birth.
Making me feel alive,
even now our love will survive.
In my heart I carry your soul,
your the man who shot my control.

This is my first post in this area, I don't think it fits real well in the spiritual room.

Well right now, foregoing a minor miracle, it's been buried at the lowest low.  Not much I can do about it.

It got a little lost in.  It got busy.  Makes it so you can't see all that you want to see!  You guys are going to have to slow down and not be so creative!  or spread yourselves out!

I'm very flattered guys!  Thanks for all the responses.

and Rainbow, I tried everything within my power the first time to do it all right, and nothing worked.  I lost!  In the process my heart broke.  That I haven't been able to fix yet, just try to forget most days and keep going.  I'm to scared to pick up the phone!

"your the man who shot my control"
amazing how guickly that can be shot sometimes. You've expressed your emotions very clearly in this one

Uh bandaids?  I needed a full blown disaster control crew when it all intitially happened.  Bandaids wouldn't even have started to cover all the problems that happened then.  But that is in the past, and I'm here now, although be it alone, looking to the future.

You described your feelings very well with this poem, none of us knows what lies ahead in the future, you could be amazed. Hold your head up high and keep a positive outlook, the stars will sprinkle down upon you when your not looking.

Dear Kelly
I know you feel alone right now, but yes time does eventually heel and a new love will come your way.

MMMM lets see, new love, still waiting.  And isn't three years enough time?  I am not intentionally turning men away..hell I'd have to find them first to do that!     And I absolutly refuse to search for love on the net!  hehehe

Thanks guys!

LOL -- yes, I know all too well how caring for someone can upend your control ... and I am a control freak, so you can imagine I really go off the deep end when it happens to me!  Talk about a study in extremes!  Marble to mush in three seconds flat -- LOL

Good stuff here, Kel -- glad you finally decided to peek in on the wolves' den that is Open ... LOL

Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

Sometimes, as much as I want control, I also want someone to come along and help me out, to take some of the crap off.  I love the independant feeling but hate that "alone" feeling.
