lackluster of reality
hits like a ton of bricks
clocks beckon for insanity
within their mindless ticks

with each day comes new challenges
more petty than the last.
to hold preoccupation
of the fools that have amassed.

And still nobody questions
the very purpose of it all
ignorant to life and death
they take their curtain call.

And when it all falls into place
they rise of from the mix.
Lackluster of reality
hits like a ton of bricks.

Great poem, Kevin. Reality can hit like a ton of bricks. I think we have all come face to face with it at one point or another in our lives.
