Hunter of the stars
Protector of the skies
The ebb and flow of countless galaxies
Have passed before your eyes.

What they must have seen!
The birth of stars
The passing of comets
The beginnings of creation
The ends of the universe.

You stand in the sky
A silent sentinel
Sword at the ready
With so many tales to tell.

And what must it think of we, the small wanderers? Excellent poem, Sven.

The stars do pretty much put everything in perspective, don't they?... Nice job, Sven...

Who has been looking to the heavens lately?
Two starry poems written by a star that shines bright in the sky for us all.  Bravo

In the early winter evenings, Orion seems to almost touch the top of my old home... It was the first constellation I learned to recognize... and it's still one of the first things I look for if I drive up to my Dad's after dark. *S* I like this much, Sven... it brought back a lot of memories of some of those tales Orion could tell! *G*
