Believe In Me Don’t feel I’ve let you down Please, my dear, don’t cry I’m not too good at this But I promise I will try Sometimes I will be frightened At times, I’ll run away But it’s not from you I run And I promise I won’t stray It’s within myself I go There are walls that need brought down I left you not alone Don’t let me see you frown My heart has been closed long And for me to let you in I need to find the key To let our love begin So be patient with me dear Give me a little time To show you how I feel To make your heart all mine If you’ll have faith in me Our love will surely grow Just bear with me, believe in me When I say I need you so "I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me , this has always been enough." ~Nicholas Sparks from The Notebook |

Enjoyed this... rhythmic and fluid. Your message is well expressed, and the presence of devotion lying beneath the gentle urging is easily discernable, brightly conveyed. |

As I explained to my wife, I'm not retreating from you, I'm going inside to tidy up before I let you in. Beautiful poem, hoot. |

Beautiful Ruth ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

Hoot, very beautiful, and it sounds so familiar...it is hard to let someone in, when those walls are built so securely. Good luck to you... |

Ruth, I have climbed many a wall, As this is what I choose. I do not want the key, For this I may just loose. I will pull out all the bricks. Yes each and every one. To find you standing there, My morning glory Sun. Together we will build with the bricks that lie around. A simple little place, Here upon the ground. The key is far to easy, The work is worth the cost. Something always earned Is much harder to be lost. I will work to make you proud, You'll see I really care. And in the end you'll see, I'll always be standing there. I have learned that the pain of a lost love will fade, But the memory of having loved will last forever. |

Absolutely beautiful, Ruth. It gave me goosebumps. David, the reply was just as sweet. I wish much happiness for the two of you. It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |

Ruth, There are some people in this world who know how to love and love well, and you, my dear, are one of them, to write of love the way you do, Liz |

Everyone, thank you oh so much for your wonderful coments Elizabeth...I can not think of a better compliment any one can ever pay me...thank you David...what a beautiful poem and such a beautiful response. Sometimes we tend to build up walls as fast as we tear them down I think. |
