Two distant bodies house one single soul. Each half lives what the other only dreams, but in each other they find themselves whole. Life, they have learned, is never what it seems. Destructive pasts scar in different ways yet each heart is still capable of love. Hands bound in friendship through all of their days, cradle their soul as gently as a dove. A bond such as this is a gift divine. It holds at bay terrors stalking the night. Asleep their ethereal arms entwine and they know someday life will turn out right. They - together in life, in pain, and peace, find within each other longed for release. ©2000 Satiate & DreamEvil Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. "Each half lives what the other only dreams, but in each other they find themselves whole." That is the most romantic line I have read in a long time! Absolutely beautiful -- an excellent poem from two excellent poets. You two need to do this more often ... You cannot choose the way of your death, but the path you choose will determine its own end. |
