Wishes

Do you ever wish
you could be a star
shining in the sky?
A star so beautiful
and so very high?
Do you ever wish
you could be a river
with water so clear?
A river so very straight
and having no fears?
Do stop wishing, you’ve gone too far
For you are your own self
And you are what you are
Wishes are wishes,
Thoughts are thoughts,
But what is reality
Should never be fought.
