I wrote this after my son was born. I was so in awe of this new little being... While you're sleeping History is being made. There's rioting by people of every color and shade. While you're sleeping World's records are being broken. Gun control is always spoken. While you're sleeping Nations death tolls climb Through famine, war, aids and crime. While you're sleeping There's talk of global warming Political elections send people swarming. While you're sleeping There's tornados, snow storms, rain and thunder Enough environmental hazards to put nature under. While you're sleeping Your inner peace touches me deep inside Are you tomorrow's future, tomorrow's pride? |
